Any difference between part-time and full-time front axles?

Hey all, I'm on the quest to find a pair of 3/4 ton axles (w/ 4.10s) for my 'burb. I stopped at two salvage yards this morning and came up empty-handed. I took off about 5 diff covers on 14 bolts, and all I found was 3.73's and a lot of metal shavings /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif. But I also found a set with 3.73's still on a truck (don't know the year), but it's a full-time frontend - it has those metal caps for "hubs." I probably won't get the set because of the gearing, but my question is, is there any difference between the full-time and part-time front axles? Is it just a matter of putting on some locking hubs and you've got a part-time front axle? Thanks for any help /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif...(oh, and if anyone near me has a lead on some axles, speak up /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

That's all there is to it! Plus, save the parts that you take off for use as spare parts, just in case you grenade a locking hub out in the middle of nowhere. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
