anyone know how to adapt the rear drive shaft from my 89 to my 79 rears?

Not sure what you mean. Are the u-joints differnt size or is it too long/short.
If the u-joint is the issue then head down to NAPA and get a canversion joint. There are quite a few people around here that know the part numbers.....me not being one of them

there a diff size. ah so what ur sayin is there is a conv. kit to adapt the larger u joint and the smaller u joint thankyou you have been helpful

It is not a kit, it is just a u-joint. Two of the sides of the joint are a differnet size than the other two.

I don't have my box in front of me , but if I am not mistaken I got mine at Autozone when I still had my stock shaft mounted , # 3-3130 , also available in Brute Force
