This weekend while wheeling I pulled the wires out of the sending unit on my K5 . It might have had something to do with flying through the air or something similar while coming down on a rock afterwards. Anyways I need to figure out a new connector or something for this without the expense of a $150-190 Dollar sending unit. Anyways here is a picture of the connector. Any Ideas. I thought about making a 2 prong plug going into the tank , and sealing with epoxy or gas tank sealer. Any thoughts?

If you could come up with something that would seal (some sort of bulkhead fitting I guess?), you could probably just run wires through that and to the connector on the frame. No reason to repalce the connector at the tank IMO, since the wires are connected to the sender components anyways.

Just find a replacement connector\harness at a wrecking yard. You can get a new press-on clip from most Ace hardware stores. I was looking at doing the same thing when modifying my tank for TBI.
