Any IH 4700 techs?

Yes, (most likely) does the pump run when the brake is applied with the key/engine off?

Yes it does but when the truck is running and you apply the brakes you can hear lots of unhappy hydraulic noise. Like fluid going into bypass.

To add, truck broke a brake line a while ago and a new one was put on. Brakes bled and seem to work great. I didn't do the work. But I noticed its had that fluid noise since then.

Sounds to me like the booster is by-passing, probably damaged when the brake hose blew. We have only had a couple of IH trucks with that system over the years and never had any trouble with them, so I cant say from actual experience.

Goto IH website, input the last 6 of the VIN. Then download software. That simple, but if your not capable of doing that then the dealership will give you a disk with the software on it.

Here's something else for you, you MUST use the IH software to clear the light. Or maybe you could find a buddy at the dealership and by him a case of beer

If you can't get that light off and the driver knows what he's doing then expect that truck to come back for 'safety' reasons! Have fun!

Nope not from my blackberry. Google it, all my tech **** is on my laptop at my shop. When I get a free time tomorrow I'll post it, but Mondays are busy cause of me not being there on the weekends.

I use the last 6 of the vin for username and last 4 of vin for password. If your vehicle is not set like that then call service manager where truck was purchased from tell him you want the demo I'd and password for 'instructional purposes'.

Each user is matched with that truck's equipment package. Also lists specific parts for that vin!

Found the problem. O-ring on the suction hose to he power steering pump is cracked and leaks. PS fluid got low and the pump was cavatating. Easy fix later this week.
