I was looking at possibly getting a set of swamper 47" ltb's, wanted to know if anybody had any info on them. I have about 12" of suspension and a lot of trimming done, I believe they will fit. Also looking at purchasing 2.5 ton rockwells.

I like mine, they grip better than the TSL's I had on the rocks and the side lugs work rather well.

do you have the 47's? I was debating between those or the 46" michelin xml

Uh yeah, had them for quite a while. I also have a set of XML's. If your looking for something to drive on the street all day go XML's. If you want to wheel and get actual grip on rocks then get the LTB's. The XML's are hard as a rock but will ride well and last forever on the highway.

Hey Jason kind of a Hijack here but do you think a Chromo'd 1 ton setup like you "used" to run will hold up to the 47s in something like a SBC powered formula 4? I really want like the 47s and have plans to build a full width 1 ton formula 4 with links:D Really the only thing formula 4 about it is the chassis:D .

Thanks

Dik

My superiors held up but I knew how to drive with them... Hopping is your worst enemy but a 4 link pretty much takes care of that. Just know how to use the throttle pedal and you will be ok. You'll break eventually but it holds pretty well. I'd get the longfield CV's first thing though, don't waste time on others like I did.

Yep that is my plan. They look pricey but once you figure in the cost of Superiors inner and outer and then 300M u-joints you are not far from a set of Bobby Longs, and they are ubber tough.
