I figured this was the best forum to ask this. A friend of mine and I recently started a business (JNZ Finishing LLC., a subdivision of JNZtuning.net) where we're going to be doing powder coating, head porting, ceramic coating and small scale chroming/anodizing. I've been around this board for acouple years now and I wanted to see what the interest would be in powder coating here. We just purchased THIS oven, which is big enough for blocks, wheels, cross members etc. We're modifiying it w/ a window, circulation fan and a vent for the best possible baking envirnoment.

We've been doing regular coating using a standerd home oven for acouple monthes, getting $ to buy the new, bigger oven. If the interest is high enough here, I plan to become a vendor w/n the next few weeks, once we get the paperwork from the state done. But if you have parts you want done, say so here and after a week or so, my partner and I will see what we want to do. Most of the items we've done are 4cyl valve covers, quad parts and misc custom fab parts. If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me.

PRICING IS VERY COMPETITIVE!

Here are some examples of our work:

You should have a Vendor membership to make a post like that.
Without it you should water your post down a little....there is no problem asking what the level of interest would be.....but posting prices and pictures of finished products crosses the line a little.

I would edit your post before it gets deleted.

I can understand that, I wasn't going to take any business until I knew people were interested at those prices and I signed up. I posted the same thing on another board and the first thing everyone wanted to know were the prices. So i figured I would post them at the same time so people knew. If its a problem w/ the mods, I'll take them down no problem.

agreed, get a vendor membership if your going to post prices, otherwise just post up seeing if people are interested.

looks like some nice work, im sure there will be some interest on here. goodluck

I'd be interested but not sure about shipping all the way to Penn. That'd be the only problem i see with it. Good luck ;)

I'd be interested in your services. I've got quite a few small pieces I'd like coated. The clamshells from motor mounts is one thing I've got here that I'd like coated. I've got 8 pieces.
But these aren't all I've got I want coated. Too much other stuff but those can be done as time goes by.

Trust me Ck5 has very good advertising rates. I'm starting one up soon to help advertise my business to the New England area......But any way I'm thinking about buying a few things to start powdercoating stuff on my k5. But haven't gotten to it yet. I wouldn't mind seeing your rates though.

So you guys are in Dublin? That'll be real convenient for me, being in Philly. I actually got my first drivers license from the PennDOT place in Dublin. Anyway, I would be interested in getting some things powdercoated in the the future, and I would be even more interested in getting some things sandblasted and beadblasted. I will look you guys up when I have something to be done.

Thanks for the responses. I see there definetely is interest here :) I'm in Dublin but the business is in Hatfield, only about 10 mins away.

So are you for sure planning on buying a Vendor's membership? Even without showing your prices, you are still pimping the company name and location. I understand the need to test the waters before commiting to spending the cash, but you need to make a decision sooner than later, my friend. We have plenty of Vendors who pay for the right to make these kind of posts, and to let yours stand while they pay up is a little unfair, don't you think?

reddevil, i think it is worth it for you to get the vendor membership so you can def pimp your stuff. it looks like good quality work, and good vendors on here get spread by word of mouth. i know i personally have passed on info bout good vendors ive dealt with on here to friends and they have spent money with them as well. while not every member on here may take advantage of your product, once a few people have used you and have good feedback your product will grow like wildfire in popularity...prime example: DIY4X.

in short: The vendor membership is definitely worth it!

Thanks for sticking up for us vendors, Paul.... one more reason I'm happy I re - upped my vendor tag - we vendors are looked out for and appreciated here.

Randy, the vendor membership is only a hundred bucks, and you can write it off too.

<shameless CK5 vendor membership sales pitch>

Although every forum charges something different,one of the big SRT mopar forums charges a thousand bucks a year to be a vendor. (lxforums.com) - Compared to that, CK5 is a freakin' STEAL..

As far as, " should I gamble the hundred bucks - what if no one buys anything? " hell, you can spend a hundred bucks on new ink cartridges to make flyers, and not get any response to those either...the only guarantees in life are jesus and craftsman tools. - everything else is up to you to build from the ground up.

One thing I like about being a vendor here is that most of these trucks aren't museum pieces - they get played with, used, torn down and rebuilt, and everyone wants the best stuff in and on their trucks that they can afford. insert yourself into that equation, and you'll do fine here.

Jump in with both feet, the water's fine..Take it from me, CK5 customers are very loyal, and will sing your praises if you treat them right.

<pitch mode off>

I'll second CanCan's sentiment.....

The sooner you pony up for a Vendor membership the better. It's cheap and it will start you out on the right foot around here. Often times new folks will show up on CK5, post a bunch of blatant advertising and alienate themselves from everyone on the board.

Your service looks to be a valueable one, and I'm sure with the right attitude you'd easily make back the cost of a Vendor membership in no time at all. :deal:

I'm loving the fact that you are in my own backyard, also. :wink1:

Ok guys, before things go any furthur, I agree that I'll have to sign up soon, probably in the next day or so when I get my paycheck. So I won't do anything w/ this thread until that time. I didn't want anyone to think I was just coming here to spread the company name and make a quick buck w/o becoming a member. I definetely want to start off right as a vendor here :D So I'll update this thread again once I'm a legit CK5 vendor. I'm very glad the interest is pretty high here for our services and 100$ is damn cheap compared to some other boards we're going to advertise on.
