Any issues with thick cut gears?

Have 3.73's in my tons.

If I want to put some 4.88's in there without swapping carriers them I gotta get thick cut gears.

Any issues with them?

Is there a strength difference between the two carriers?

Strength difference between regular and thick cut gears?

Additional stress on the axle components with thick cut?

well there is one problem at least in the rear .

there cheeper than reg cut gears and also you would need a carrier to match the reg cut gears .

I ran thick 5.13's (14 bolt) in my old truck for 10+ years, never had an issue.
