Yeah, 1954 Willys CJ3B, Buick Dauntless V6, muncie 4 spd, D18, D27/44 with 5.38's, 6" of lift, made in America out of real honest to God steel. The grandfather of todays plastic impregnated, cast from pot metal, car riding quality, with CD changers "jeeps". Praise the Lord for Willys!
I've got a 78 cj with chevy running gear...don't let all the fullsize boys give ya too much grief...after all its not how much ya got, its how ya use it /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
My daily driver is an 87 YJ. It's OK for driving around town (easy to parallel park), but I wouldn't take it off-road too much. Too flimsy. I won't own another YJ, though. I would like to trade up to a TJ.
Even though it's a jeep, at least you can still buy a brand new one with a solid front axle.
i wouldent mind having a wrangler for a wheelin rig and keep my blazer as a tow rig..it basicly comes down to the blazer just wont go where i want to go without it being a huge ordeal /forums/images/icons/crazy.gif dont get me wrong i love my blazer and wouldent get rid of it...but for what i want to do with it....just aint practical from the way i look at it /forums/images/icons/smirk.gif
I have had 2 XJ's, both lifted and modified. now i have a new TJ, soon to be built and wheeled like my K5. The TJ is a fun little jeep to drive and is very respectable wheeling too.
My old room mate had a '77 wagoneer, and my Brother had a '75 Cherokee. I will say I did like driving those trucks, after the lifts were on. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
Mine has a 7" in the back (shackle flip plus 3" block) and 5" in the front (Spring over) for a nice rake so loaded it usually sits level.
Itt flexes really good with those stock springs. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
