Any one ever heard of this company?

F.A.S.T has been around for a while and makes an awesome product. You might want to PM Greg as he researched that set-up for his BBC i built for him.

Your choice, either one, set up - complete with a stand alone Underhood ECM!

I was thinking more along the lines of a pacificfabrication engine

http://www.pacificfab.net/g194.htm#1

That's my buddy Kevin. They sell ALOT of engine packages with stand alone harness's ready to go. I don't know if they've ever shipped any though. They go to all the GoodGuys car shows around here and set up a booth at the swap meet and get alot of business that way but most people are local and drive to their shop and pick it up. You might want to PM RyanB on here, he used to work with Kevin at PacFab.

Ryan knows ALOT about the LS engine swap and he has done many of the wire harness's

It looks like they do amazing work, I think I will have to wait till I get sent back to Iraq again to pay for it. I am still very very tempted to try something like this for myself I am just worried about getting in over my head:o

They can sell you EVERYTHING you would need for the transplant including motor mounts and or crossmembers.

I have a rebuilt roller 350. I'm not a company, so I buy, sell, & work on stuff to support my addiction to stuff. Maybe I should load an engine on my next trip when I visit family at Lake Texoma?

That's a pretty looking 305, or at least the timing cover and harmonic balancer are from a 305.

This is a car 350, 1991 Police Caprice engine to exact. Not all 350's have the large 8" harmonic balancer with a timing indicator at 2:00 ~ 3:00 O'Clock position.

At least GM has cast's the displacement on the one piece rear main seal blocks starting in 1987, so there is no mis-understanding the engine size 305 / 350.

This is true but the balancer is definately a 305 balancer noted by it's width not diameter.

I've looked at the FAST kit that was first posted and although I don't doubt it's an easy bolt on injection kit I just couldn't justify the money.
You could just about buy a vortec with a stand alone computer and harness for what some of those FAST kits cost.

Hey just saw that your wanting to go EFI. Maybe if your back in the states this next year and in the Texas area, we can get together, and I can help you out with the swap. I am thinking about a 5.3 swap in the future for the 74 blazer I will be getting from you soon:D. Probably wont go with a 6.0 like my last blazer, but do like the similar power and better fuel economy of the 5.3. I know for a fact that if you do it right, look for the right deals, that you can do a 5.3 swap for less than $2k easy.

No kidding 2k? I have been doing all kinds of reading on the swap
(and not doing my homework:doah:)
I was wondering about fuel delivery and the smaller things at this stage, what are the options short of just scavenging the efi tank and fuel lines? I have sorted out that the most expensive part of the swap is the nickel and dime stuff like new radiators and fuel pumps etc. I would love to help you work on that pretty truck you will be buying wednesday :D
