any one get into roller bearings?

has any one here ever used roller bearing for the mains???
I hear they are quite inpressive, and dont really know crap about them...

Smokey Yunick looked into it. It's a HUGE amount of work for very little if any gain and it results in a weaker than normal multi-piece crankshaft.

Hydro-dynamic bearings are probably 2nd only to air-foil bearings in how low their friction is. Biggest loss is pumping the oil.
