I just got some new seats out of an 80's Firebird at the junkyard (great deal $26 for the pair in near perfect condition) and was wandering if anybody has any ideas on how to mount them. Thanks

1 Redrill the floor for the mounts from the firebird seats.
2 See if the seats bolt up the the seat pedestal already in your truck.

There may be some other option but those two stick out in my mind

My '73 has honda buckets and the only mod needed was a 1 inch tab welded to the trucks seat pedestal.

Thanks, I think I'm going to go with the redrill the floor route and put the firebird seats up on blocks.

This is what I did, I have a set of MR2 buckets. I cut off the old mounting brackets and sliding mechanism from the MR2's. I then welded a 24"X24" piece of 1/4" sheetmetal to the rails that were on the bottom of the seats. I then unbolted the blazer seats from the stock seat brackets and market points to drill, bolted the two together and there ya go degrading a chevy with toyota seats!
