Most the plow trucks around here run something similar, supposed to help metal not rust. Called electronic rust protection.

so thats why you didn't answer.. watching TV?? i think it has to be more for storage. like sweetk30 said,it can't see how it would work with constant salt spray.hell all the bull shat galvanizing and three coats of some kinda spray, plus clearcoat and they still rust.
