Any Options on a G80 10bolt?

I got my old '88 back from my brother... with the rear end out of it. I'm trying to get it ready for Harlan, Ky Memorial Day weekend.

I opened it up and the spiders are shot. I was thinking of putting a spool in there, but cant see how to get the side gears out because of the two rods holding the mechanisms that work the limited slip?

Can you even put a spool in the G80? Could I swap it out with a carrier from an open diff 10b?

I'm just wondering if there might be a cheap fix.

You can't do anything with a 10 bolt govlock .

Options are :

Replace carrier , or replace whole axle assembly .

I would choose the axle replacement with a used unit with the same gear ratio .

Open 10 or 12 , so you can get a Lockright .

Or you can be "Normal" here and replace it with a 14 bolt full floating axle . And convert your truck to 8 lugs . Weld it or buy a locker .
