I jus had a Loc Rite installed and previously I had all my gears changed out from 2:73s to 4:10s. So I have the old spider gears which look like they are in very good shape. It came from a GM 10b 8.5 rear.

Im cleaning up some junk and found that box and dont know what to do with them. Are they of any use to keep around?

I'd keep em because you never know if you'll need them with the loc rite. Mine wore out in about a year (excessive play in the 4 locking pins) and the Loc rite has a 2 year warrenty so I put the old spider gears back in the axel while I sent the lock rite to Richmond Gear for warrenty claims.

might as well keep em around. dont take up much space. never know...someone may need em someday.

gotta agree with chevy 350. I've broken lockrights. always nice to have spare parts around.

Fixed it for ya :wink1:

I'd love a 350 though, but then I'd have to get a new username

I've only got two... once I get the engines homes I'll be more willing to let the carcases that surround them go to the bone yard and get MY yard back...

Allways keep that kind of stuff. When someone needs that sort of stuff give it away for free and you'll get a good rep in your local wheelin community and you'll get better deals or free parts when you need something minor like that. It's my theory and it works for me.

He who dies with the most chevy parts wins!!!!!!!!

Oh, ill lose for sure on that one. The only spare parts ive got is the rear armrests, two side marker lights, wheel well molding and now pass. side mirror.
