Any reason why I can't get a hose down the filler neck?

I am trying to syphon out all of the old go juice and I can only get a hose about a foot and a half or so down the filler neck and then it won't go any further. Any ideas? Thanks

theres a hard 90 into the top of the tank. twist the hose as you push, it should pop down.

What year of vehicle, i know some of the later models, some older as well, they put a ping pong type ball in there to prevent anybody from siphoning fuel, fuel will flow past it, just prevent a hose from getting to the fuel

It's an 86 K5. If it does have one of those ping pong ball deals in it, what's the best way to get the fuel out? I really don't want to drop the tank. Is it possible to disconnect the fuel send line and somehow syphon from there? Thanks

Can't you pull the filler neck on a Blazer without pulling the tank?

it is just the 90* bend.

my syphone has a brass end on it with a glass bead, so you shake it to start it.

that was a bitch beond all other to get in there, probably took me 20 min. with that one.

Maybe I'm lazy, but a cheap autozone electric fuel pump hooked to the line on the frame works wonders, and leaves me to do more meaningfull tasks.

Also, if you can't get the hose to go all the way in, I like to use my lighter to see what the blockage is.

That's a good idea. While I'm at it, might as well put my johnson in a vice and tighten it down then smack it with a bfh.

yeah some people try that with mixed results.
If i were to i would give the said hootest a good coating of herculiner first this will protect it from scuffs

this is the best ever if only i had something to say but i just cant stop laughing but yeah if you cant hit the hole the first time take out some of the neck so you can get a better aim at the hole and then ram it in there then suck on it for awhile till it starts flowin then spit a couple times to get the taste out your mouth then put the neck back on and some good go juice and your set all in a good days work
