So my brother has been combing the area for an RV and we finally found one for a cheap price. Needed some work but overall condition is good. Generator didn't work which led to other things not being able to be tested. This helped with the price negotiations :) .

With some new parts and some work, I've gotten the generator to work, redid some sway bar bushings, replaced the shocks, and a few other things. I'm getting a slight vibration while driving up front and those items looked to be contributors to this issue (and they were worn out). But I'm still getting some vibration.

I jacked it up and could get a little play in the front wheel at the 6-12 o'clock positions. The ball joints didn't move so it looks to be the front wheel bearings.

I've found the bearings and am set to install new ones (may even do the brakes and rotors while I'm there), but can't find any torqueing specs. I'm assuming it's going to be close to the K5 front hubs, but haven't found anything specific.

Anyone know the torqueing numbers for the hub? Any special hub tools? Size? One of the shopping carts from Autozone shows a 2-1/6" socket.

Thanks for any tips.

of what I use to see of them abaout the same as e-350 just a bit heaver springs for weight class. so try looking up e-350 specs and setup info .

don't forget most new hub/rotor units come with races installed already . just incase your looking to pinch penneys.

and if not in a hurry rock auto cant beet there pricing 95% the time.

Yea, I saw that the races were already in so that saves about $25 otherwise. Got a 20% discount at Advance Auto so makes it pretty cheap.
New Rotors (Wearever), National Bearings, National Seals, Wagner Quiet Pads, synthetic grease and brake cleaner for $287. New hubs makes it easier too so I don't have to pull old races out and press new ones in.

All the parts seem to be the same as the e350 too so I'll keep looking. Thanks!

Official ford website says 30 lb/ft while rotating hub then back it off then 17-24 lb/ft then back it off and then 17 lb/in. That's for a 2000 E450. I usually do as tight as I can with a 1/2" ratchet to seat the bearings and then back it off loose and then snug it down. If the hole doesn't line up for the cotter pin go tighter to the next hole. I like to go a little tighter for new stuff cuz it will break in a little. Larger hub sockets like what you need usually aren't too spendy at the parts stores. Make sure you look up a "hub" socket. They are usually cheaper than a normal one that big but they are not for impact use.

Should be able to find a manual for the generator online also. Usually from my experience it's a gummed up carb on the ones I've had from sitting.

Cool, thanks!

Yea, it was the carb, but they are sealed so can't take it apart. Had to buy a new one but worked great!

Cool glad its going good. I saw a motor home like this in Grand Junction once for sale that had been converted to 4x4. My wife was totally against it otherwise it would have been pretty sweet to have I think.
