any turbo(diesel) experts?

On my 7.3 diesel, I have a t4 turbo that I am wanting to speed up a little for more boost down low. Right now it has a .96 housing and I am looking at a .82 housing. My question is, is this going to be a significant change, or do I need to go smaller yet?

these are both un divided housings.

No answer for you, but try changing the title to "turbo diesel" and you may get more hits as there are lots of diesel guys here.
