I have long tubes on my truck and they are so close on the passangers side shackle. only like a 1/2 inch. I'm afraid that when i hit the gas it will hit. I changed motors and i dont think my other motor put them that close.

I have those headers on my truck, they are a little close but I dont think it will matter, about 3/4" between the shackle and the collector. plenty of room on the drivers side after I clearanced the motor mount.

I had to massage a little low spot into mine. Their close at idle, but your right, it used to rub a little when I gassed it. A little massage and you'll remedy it if you do rub.

Maybe I should check mine just in case, it seems Im always hard into the throttle and I dont need more to fix

Put a bb with hookers in my 86 and had same problem. I bolted a "torque strap" from the block to the frame on drivers side to correct this. Solid motor mounts will also help.
