Just like it says. I want to do the 52" conversion up front, but instead of going with a stock spring, I was thinking of going with a 4" lift spring to give me an overall of 8"'s of lift up front. Any thoughts on this from somebody that has actually done the conversion? Has anyone done what I'm planning on doing with a 2" or taller spring? Anyone, ....Anyone?

Yes, please that would be great!!! Any angle problems? Are you clearing your 42's ok? Thats what I have except with a 4" lift, need/want to go a lil taller.

I have BDS 4" rear 52's up front. I also made my own front/rear spring mounts and have a 1" Z-rate moving my axel foward 1". I have a total of 9 1/2" lift. Take away the custom componants and I would have 7 1/2. I removed the overload spring and I also have a steel headed Big block. with a small block, you should see about 8". I have so much more flex in the front now, i had to get custom made front brake hoses and need a new front shaft!! It seperates the splines when I flex it!! YAHOO!!

Did you guys use a 7 1/4 shackle? Eye to eye, right.

dhdescender,

Could you measure the distance from the frame directly to the leaf, in front of the spring plate?

Not with 1410 Driveshafts.

That said, I have dual t cases, so my front shaft is 39" long.
I dont understand where you are going with the above statement?

I am thinking of trying to get 8 inches of total lift out of the 52s myself.

Anyone else hace some more info on this subject?

How about to the axle tube, diferent brand of leaves +/- and an overload will change it.
