Anybody ever used 94-02 Dodge 8 lug wheels?

As you can see the price is right. They're 16x8's and I know the pattern is the same...

Anybody used these on our trucks? Just wondering if they've got too much backspacing or something that would create issues. Also if the center hole is wide enough for the hub to fit over.

Yeah...I could spend the money elsewhere but damn, for that price...

I don't see why they wouldn't work. I was gonna get a set of these for my old truck, the guy told me they were hubcentric and wouldn't work. Well, the stockers are hubcentric too. We know the lug pattern is the same, but the only thing really have to worry about is the hub hole itself. But I don't forsee any problems with that since Dodge has bigger wheel hubs on the rear axles.

I don't think GM's before the 99+ body style were hub centric...could be wrong though...

Right now I just need to figure out the backspacing...the owner seems to be a lady who knows little about them. I'm trying to talk her through measuring the center hole diameter and the backspacing...wish me luck.

Hrm...found out they have like 6.25" worth of backspacing...

...they're also notorious for not fitting over earlier Dodge's rear drum brakes...

...makes me think they aren't going to fit over my big @ss 1-ton drums.:doah:

Figures it's a deal I can't do anything with.

Pretty sure they will not work. I have a set of those same exact forged alums off my '01 Ram Cummins. The first problem is that they have too much backspacing from what I can tell, thats why I never used them on my K30.

Besides, they are Dodge rims. I never have liked factory wheels on a different brand, just looks oddball.

I just want 16" wheels and the cheaper the better. Aluminum is good so I figured these would be great.

Then yeah...I saw the backspacing...wow...

Anybody know what stock GM 16.5" wheels would have for backspacing?

I couldn't care less about the looks, they'd probably end up painted black anyways, but man, those GM wheels are hard to find!

If you looking for cheap 16" wheels. Go to the local junkyard and take a set off an older f-250. I got two for free from my boss, and then I picked two up at the local pick-n-pull for $7 ea. got em off a 92 f-250. They are steel, 16X7 and I believe the same backspacing as chevys, 4.25" I think

It's times like this that I REALLY hate living here.

We're literally 30 miles from the nearest 70mph highway. Really "up in da woods." Despite being a decent sized city NOTHING is common or available up here and therefore not cheap.

$7 rims? Ha...I just checked and the cheapest wheel within 2 hours on Car-Part.com is $39.

I can buy new steelies for that.

Dammit I hate it up here.

so pack your crap up and head south! I've been to Traverse city and theres not much of interest there.
anyhow, back to the actual thread, I don't konw about the alum rims, but i've got chrome dodge rims from a 94 that I had on my truck awhile. looked alright.

The house and $75/credit hour college instead of 3-4 times that keep us here...for now...

mine is $82.50/hr here 20miles outside of dc.

those rims would fit over the hubs on our chevy's. people who run the h2s on dodges have to reem out the whole foe dodge, so they would definitely fit ours. but for backspacing u might as well run h1's with spacers
