performer carb mite have took a crap. and seems like mite need a bigger carb. i have a 350 with 64cc iron world product heads with 202 valves and a lopey cam with the stock torque converter in the trans. ran the same heads on another 350 with a rv cam and quadrajet.so the motor i have now doesnt seem to perform as good as the motor i had these heads on b4. even tho its a dog off the line i know the converter probly has to do with that. but when it in the power range it doesnt seem to pull as hard. ive tried all kinds of diffrant jet settings. so i ask if anybody has goten a performer to perform like a quadrajet. i used to have a gm 350 260hp cratemotor and i could tell a big differance from a autozone rebuilt q-jet then to a outa the box 1405 edelbrock carb.

I've seen Holleys and Edelbrocks both offroad. Neither can do what a poorly tuned Q-Jet can. With a rebuild and a little cleanup, the only place EFI or Propane outdo a Q-Jet, is upside down.

well that settles that. and the carb ended up being good on the k5 it was the coil not fireing as good. this is the 2nd coil i had to replace since i put dual batterys in it. any ideas on what it could be. i have a battery isolater in the set up but its a cheapone that just runs on a switch. called summit tech and they said its a bad ground but i havent changed the ground and have never had this problem until i did dual batts.
