Chickenrammit built a real nice one PM him for pics.

Lots of pic's in Shawn (supersize73)'s build thread on a tube one he built for a divorced case.

My crossmember is just 1.5x.25" wall square tube mounted on top of the frame. This is my low profile trans mount I made for it :D With that and raising the drivetrain 2.75" the only thing hanging down under the frame is my 36x36x.500" 6061 belly pan :D

mine is still below the frame, but only hangs down an inch and a half. I clocked up the case after smashing my factory crossmember a couple times... didn't really care about the old 208, but was kind of hard to find my 32 spline241, so don't really want to rip it off any sooner than I have to.
I am building a skidplate right now that will hang about two and a half inches from the frame. I might tag the plate every now and again, but it will be flat and smooth, and the old crossmember hung down like 4".

hell now I'm looking at the photo of the old crossmember and it looks like it was hanging down more like 6"

oh and that 55 is giving me wood. Mine's the same color, but buried away in my garage instead of out playing with the other piggies

I like your crossmember scouthead,it's giving me some good ideas,I can see you notch for the front driveshaft, thats the part that was puzzling me,now I know what to do thanks for the pics everyone.
