I'm wondering if thers enough room for it.

I have a 2wd SM465 and a divorced 205 out of a 73 dodge[also have crossmembers for both]that I want in my 75 K-5.
has anyone done this??
any warnings?Things i might need ??I know driveshafts, trany to tcase shaft OR CAN I JUST PUT A JOINT IN BEETWEEN THEm??

this will be a rock trail rig.so about 4in lift with 39.5 tsls.

Will ther be an issue with rear shaft since it will be shorter???or will it be shorter??

sorry so many Q's.but I want to start on it this weekend.
thanx--fellow K-5ers

Your rear will most definitely be shorter. Your front will also be longer. Shifters will need to be modified. Whether or not you'll have trouble with driveline angles, Good possibility. Exhaust will probably have to be modified.

Do you have the two wheel drive trans to go with the divorced transfercase?

I have a small divorced 205 and the large. both are too big to make it logical to put in.

you dont really get the benefits of a divorced case in a k5. the shaft from the 2wd trans to transfercase will be very short.

save it for a long bed, 'burb or cc -- that's what im doing.

small and large? there is only one size.

about the one ujoint, I don't know if that would work. You'd have to make sure the tranny and transfer are perfectly in line. Even then, if it ever took a crap that would be a pita to replace.
