Found Anybody have a spare clutch disc alignment tool?

Realized that I don't have an official clutch alignment tool (and using a dowel last time had mixed results). I know they are handed out every time you buy a new clutch set, so I figure that some of you folks probably have half a dozen piled up.

GM 10-spline shaft, looks like this.

Lemme know if you have one you're willing to part with for a couple bucks. If not, I'll just order a new one (no biggie either way, I just like to recycle stuff that others throw out).

After you do a clutch, throw it in the glovebox.

I guess you're right. I had doubts about the effectiveness of shipping them, but the idea seems sillier after thinking it over for a few hours. I just figured there must be piles of them out there from folks that have changed many a clutch. No point in making more tools when so many are idle. But I guess it's a dud of an idea when shipping gets involved.

Pretty sure I can't get one more cheaply than it could be shipped, but they're cheap enough that it's probably not worth the hassle.

My first thought was that this was a good idea. But then I asked myself when I would ever have occasion to align a clutch away from home. It's not a job that I ever hope to be doing on the side of the road.

I used a dowel once. Turned it down to the appropriate sizes on a wood lathe. Was thinking that I could do better this time.

Especially since I don't have a wood lathe.

It's not for doing it on the side of the road.

It is so that the clutch alignment tool is always with the truck you need it for.
