I got to get some wiring done before Labor Day. I want to use these switches.

Ryoken is the one I hoped to have an answer. It be easier to flag him down to this thread. I let it cook a little while to see what happens.

Edit-here is Ryoken's dash thread. There are more options than I realized. It appear the switch body and the rocker part are separate for any combination you want.

I just read another thread and the "legends" markings have to be ordered in batches of 5000.:eek1:
I do have one question about the lighted ones though. Are the lights wired separately from the of the circuit?

So have you wired a set in? Or you bought boats with the switches. From what I'm gathering, these are really good switches.

here I be..... :D

yes, the lights are on their own spade, in other words, they can be wired without the lights working for whatever reason...

here's the post I just wrote on em the other day... anything else ya wanna know, just holla..

"let me see if I can churn out a quick overview of Contura's deal... 73k5blazer also has extensive research into, and runs Conturas.... Rootbreaker runs a few as well... 90% of the boats I work on daily run em...

pictures on conturas are called legends.. yes, they are marine related, but most apps on a truck can be covered with a little imagination... the list is quite extensive...

but yes, you cant just order any switch in any config with any legend.. now if it's a 5 g order, yup you can get anything.. the average joe has to go thru other means.. there are a couple avenues for that.. there are a couple websites that carry certain switch styles with legends, BUT the selection is VERY limited...

you can also look thru their "dealer supply" list to see what individual vendors have in stock... but you have to remember, the combo # for SPST, DPDT, illumination, legend, etc are in the thousands.. pretty endless, so, chances of a dealer having what your looking for exactly are pretty slim.. I've done it, and searched... even if you did find everything you wanted, you'd probably be ordering from 10 different vendors...

now, all that being said, if you can forego the legends, any switch config is available in any of their illuminations thru many places.. Waytek being who I get most of mine from.. as for the dealer gig, I'm kinda waiting till I actually get Dashworks up and running, then working switch panels, etc into the product line..

personally, i was more than willing find an alternate way to label stuff in order to run the quality of their switches.. for me, in the end, I think I'll like my labeling better than legends, as it will match what I'm doing with the glovebox.. ""

My trucks are full of the Carling Tech Contura's.

I ordered some really goofball configurations for a couple of them. Had to find them in stock on some place (carlig tech's website showed various shops inventories) and then ordered them direct from those places, but as Ryoken said, I spent way too much time with all those part numbers finding what I wanted or needed..

Great switches.

Well, I got my order from Waytec yesterday. I got three lighted SPST switches, two lighted SPDT switches, five actuators, the stackable mounting panels(middles and ends), connector bases, and connectors.

I have some more questions but I'm tried and I want to first experiment with the switches.
