I found these tires with wheels that will fit my 8 lug axles but don't know squat about them. Has anybody run these or know someone who has. I am building a 90% mud rig that will see limited street driving and no rocks really. Does this seem like a good deal?

"I have a set of 5 Goodyear Military OZ tires with wheels. A couple are brand new and a all are better then 95% tread left. Asking $350obo."

BTW: 36x12.5x16.5

They suck in the mud, rocks, sand, rocks, asphalt, ect.
Tire wear is fast, and they won't last long if street driven.
Kinda hard to balance.
But you can't beat the price.

36" makes them the Wrangler R/T's. 37" would be the M/T's.
R/T's are bias ply and M/T's are radials.

They suck as in no traction? I just looked at them again and I belive they are on bead lock wheels so I will most likely get them anyway. I am kinda running out of money for my build and I can wait on some boggers.

I had the 36's.

They were great for free tires but I would never pay more than $100 each....even new.

alot of the people in town run them now cause of me and its WAY better than our super swampers on the street. however, offroad its got a little to be desired. for the price its like a sore pecker, you just cant beat it.

I hear they are heavy and suck all around. Cut the tread a little and I bet theyd do great. I heard they wear like iron though due to the fact that they are meant to be under a really heavy humvee.

theyre not that heavy i can load two into my truck at a time. no worse than a BFG mud. also yeah tread wear is pretty nice. proper air pressure is pretty much a must and if you sipe them theyll be really good in the wet weather. grooving them can help offroad too.

The wheels are worth more than the tires IMO (H1 double beadlocks) and $350 for both isn't a bad deal at all.

If you intend to use the wheels you should realize that they have a lot of backspacing (7" or 8" IIRC) and are generally not too useable unless you have them recentered or use them on much wider axles (like a DRW front)
