I have been doing a lot of research today and I am trying to figure out how hard/expensive it will be to 4 link the front of my K5 and I can't seem to find anybody that has done it. The main reason I want to do it is so I can move my front axle out another 4"-6" to get a better approch angle and possibly some bigger tires. Any advise as to where to look?

3 link is what ive heard you want for the front of your rig mike, never done it or known anyone local who has, but one guy did a real nice setup on his rig that was 3 link front 4 link rear.

Have you searched pirate? There's tons of info on it over there. There's also some guys here who have done it. I'm sure they will chime in

Cool thanks for the replys! I don't care for pirate to much (got spoiled here I guess) but I will do some searchin over there too. I did look over there a little but I kept
getting side tracked.

Kevin from Pacific Fabrication has done a link set-up on couple blazers already but they were 3 link.

Here is Kevins rig that he did. http://www.pacificfab.net/kevin-blazer.htm#1

Here is my friend Kristens rig that they did for her. http://www.pacificfab.net/kristen.htm

one more vote for pac fab.
i used to live in Morgan hill and spent some time in there shop. great guys that know wth they're doin.

i think they're doing a build up in the current petersons so you can see the work they do.

The Bronco is 4 linked front and rear. If you can package a 4 link I think it's a better way to go but packaging is a problem.

True.

Doing a 4-link front is more challenging, especially if you DON'T want to run full-hydro. There's a lot of stuff you need to make fit in a small amount of space and when the wheels are turned hard left or right, everything that USED to work....suddenly doesn't anymore.

I'm committed to doing a 4-link front setup with mechanical steering, but at this point it's just an idea in my head. After a few hundred hours of struggling with it I may feel differently.:D

Pics and details will eventually be in my "Might As Well" build thread, but you'll have to wait a while for me to figure it out.... I'm in the middle of 4-linking the rear at the present time.
