Been tryn to find a good sbc 4/7 swap hydraulic cam. All I seem to find in a 4/7 swap is solid roller. I emailed lunati to see how much theirs will cost but i know my old man just spent a pretty penny on the one for his 400 pontiac.

Why would you want waste your time and money with 4/7 swap and still stay hydraulic?
Don't get me wrong, I've run a 4/7 swap in my 496. I don't think the gains from the 4/7 swap would be noticeable for the dollars spent for a small hydraulic.
My cam was custom grind and I love the power it made, but it seem so people unwilling to to spend the money to that kind of performance.
I'm a bit bias because I never had any luck with hydraulic cams but there is a local builder made over 750hp on a 502 with a hydraulic. His trick was to run a real nice lifter.

4/7...do you mean the cylinders...?

Guess maybe I got some bad information. My plan was to do a roller conversion cam figured hydraulic lifters are easy. Figured a 4/7 swap was cheap hp since I'm already going to buy a cam.

4/7...do you mean the cylinders...?
Firing order. Done by changing the order of which cylinders open and closes it valves by the cam. In this case 4 and 7. You have route your plug wires also.
The firing order is now 1,8,7,3,6,5,4,2.
There are some shelf stock cams, but as kauzenkaos found out, it is mostly solid cams.

Truth be told, I've never really looked at getting shelf stock 4/7 swap cam in either hyd, or solid. I jumped to custom grind right off the bat. However, the cam "cores" have 4/7 swap in place.

Kauzenkaos, how cam companies did looked into looking for a hyd roller cam with the 4/7 swap?
