Looks like an online salvage yard cooperative or something. They have a good price on a module I want, but I can't seem to convince myself to type in a CC number.

Did you mean: what is partcycle

About: PartCycle.com is an online recycled auto parts Marketplace, connecting buyers who need quality used auto parts with a national network of professional automotive salvage yards, through a platform that is modern, safe, and easy-to-use.Jul 25, 2017

What I'm asking is whether it's legit and I should expect to get the parts I order in a timely fashion. Or if I should just expect my credit card number to be out in the ethos. I was unable to find reviews in normal places from people who had been successfully using the service.

I've used it before. I figured out a local yard that was a part of the program. I went to them and they facilitated the transaction. Part came but had some damage.

This looks like the modern version of car-part.com, the difference being that partcycle.com lets you order the parts online. car-part.com only helped you locate stock, then you were on your own to contact the the salvage yard and go pick the part up.

In my case I'm looking for a bluetooth/USB module, which is selling for $100 on eBay. I found it on partcycle for $50 and ordered it.

Day1: Ordered part against credit card
Day2: Received cancelled order notification - something about them not matching their description to the part. I asked the salvage seller to go strictly by part number and ship anyway, but no response. Contacted partcyle.com and received a response same day. They did a search and found me 3 more of the same part, but best price of $88. I searched though other vehicles and found an equivalent part number for $78.
Day3: Order confirmation of 2nd part number. Received a phone call from the salvage yard in KY confirming it was the right part. Received shipment notification.
Day5: Part arrives
