I got all excited after I got my tranny mount from summit until I bolted it up... turns out my crossmember isn't level so when I went to tighten it up to the crossmember it pulled the metal out of the polyurethane about 3/16's of an inch. Is this supposed to happen? I noticed the stock tranny mount allows for that kind of movement but I didn't think the poly mounts would do that.

Little help

I run an Energy Suspension mount. There was no deflection of the mount wen I tightened it up. Did the metal rip out of the poly part?

SO DOES ANYBODY KNOW OR AM I S.O.L.?

Howdy,

I pu the poly mounts on both engine and transmission. I didn't get the effect you are talking about. I am running a 4x4 and it uses the two piece mounts that bolt on the top and bottom of the cross member. When I was running the 2WD I also ran poly and I never had the steel more AT ALL in the mount. That seems odd to me...

hmmmmm... I don't know but I guess I'll run it and see how it goes.

Thanks fellas.

Did you atleast try to push it back in, if thats possible. If it does go back in I would run a washer for a spacer to level them back up when tighted down. Hope it helps.
