Anybody want to guess what this might be for? UPDATED W/PIC

I came up with this while narrowing the front end and the whole assembly that you see in this picture has two purposes. What are they?

Got some body work to do but I can't think of any reason the front won't be done by the weekend.

A winch and a one piece tilt front clip.

ding ding ding ding.... What do we have for him johnny. I just seemed like a good solution to the problem of having to pin your hood on and lift it off by yourself. When my narrowing is done the whole front clip will be one peice and of course tilt forward. Just thought I would share it in case anybody else was about to start narrowing.

Well, i was thinking, if you put a regular hood up and it snaps and dents the hood, it wont close right, with yours, it will probably close

Going to use jeep latches for the hood or something?
