So when dropping the gas tank on the blazer, both of the bolts that tighten the strap broke. SH!T. So I got some ratchet straps to temp fix it, but wondering what you guys used. Maybe I'll have to break down and actually buy some real ones from LMC. SH!T.

Where are you at in San Clemente? Maybe we could meet some where this weekend. I live down by Pedro tacos and 7 Eleven off of Ave . San Gabriel. Southern San Clem.

They aren't that much from LMC are they? Look around for the best price. I bought some, cant remember where, but the price varieation was huge. So shop around and you can save yourself some bucks.

Thanks for the imput. Ratchet straps working for now, and they actually seem a little bit stouter than the real thing.

I'm not in San Clemente anymore. Moved back to Colorado after I got out.

I did not drop my tank:p:. Long magnet and some cuts on my hands:D. As for straps I dont know. Is there really a problem with keeping the straps in there as long as you check them often for tightness?

Ira

Just about any autoparts store can get them........maybe $30 for a pair. The problem with the ratchet straps is that will degrade pretty quick constantly being exposed to water, dirt, salt, etc....
