Anyone Crappie fish?

Just wondering if anyone else here loves to Crappie fish as much as I do. What is the most productive method you use- troll (spider rig), cast, jig fish?

Yes, we jig cribs up in nothern wisconsin on the Turtle Flambeau Flowage. Do fairly well too, got pictures of stringers of 13-15 inchers, to bad they arent digital

Mostly people down here troll/spider rig during hot summer months and winter. During spring we get up into the shallow water and just jig fish. The spawn is starting to hit here right about now. Unfortunately my next few weekends are occupied so I will have to wait another couple of weeks before I get to go.

I catch a lot of crappie on chartruse fishing jigs ( lead weighted ) with eagle hooks.


they love the color .... it drives em nuts

I have good luck in AZ with white colored grubs and beatle spins on ultra-light rigs. Lots of fun.
