Anyone doing a road trip or know of any cheaper shipping companies?

Bought some tires from Mike (90Blzr) in Cali and before I pay $350 to get them shipped here, wanted to check and see if anyone is doing a road trip from there to here in Kansas or going thru?
If no one answers, does anyone work at any of the shipping companies like UPS, Fed-Ex, DHL, etc.? If so, is there a way to work out something that we can use your account to get the shipping quote a little lower? Something like you give us your account number and we use it? Something like the "employee perks". I'm just not eager to pay $350 shipping for 4 tires just yet.

try this place, you can get a quote right online. they are quite resonable, just a few more dollars than foward air, and they will deliver right to your house if you want them to.

I bought some wheels/tires (H2's w/ 35's) from a guy who just wrapped them individually in plastic, slapped a label on each and Fed-Exed (or UPS'ed, I forge) them for about $120 total. He said that it was much cheaper as 4 "packages"
