Anyone dyno'd their 6.2 or 6.5TD?

Wondering what kind of output and if you have, post modifications made to engine (mostly interested in 6.5TD stats)?

Gas mileage you guys are getting with the 6.5TD?

Mine gets about 17 highway, see my sig for mods.

Head over to www.thedieselpage.com or www.dieselplace.com and search for some Dyno results. Search for ronniejoe's setup, he pulled 230 RWHP and about 450 RWFP.

A friend of mine is selling his 94 4x4 3/4 truck and he said he was getting 16 MPG consistantly and of course he has the 6.5 TD with 223k miles on the clock.
No dyno stats though sorry only mileage.

Stock the 6.5s are less than inspired, a little tuning and they are decent. They will never match or even come close to the Duramax or Cummins. I find the power acceptable for my needs.

But at least the injectors don't cost $270 each!

Is that what a Dmax injector costs????? I can get a set of 6 sticks for my Cummins for around $500.............

I can get 8 injectors and an injector pump for my 6.2 for $350...

That's shipped right to my door too.
