Trying to sell a d44 from something, not really sure got from friend who didn't know, chevy 6 lug or wagoneer, it has flat top knuckles on both sides. But it has drum brakes. Want it gone, but want to know if anyone has ever converted do disks without swapping knuckles. Can grinding the **** out of them be made to fit, or be machined down?

the clocking of the 6 spindle studs is off to much. and the backing plate/caliper body will hit the knuckle. and there is still no clearence cast in the knuckle for the caliper to clean if the clocking was right.

i had a dana 44 from a ih truck 1/2 ton drum brake. had flat top knuckles. took all that time to strip and get ready for sale and find out that info sucked. :doah:
