Ok, I don't do msPaint or Photoshop, so throw your imagination cap on. :waytogo:

I want a full cage.
I like that an exo cage protects the body and doesn't interfere with the interior.
I like having a hard top, maybe even a soft top at some point.
I think an interior cage is stronger.

I've been running it through my head, doing a full exo from the cab forward. The bed area would be interior cage. I would end up tying them together where the top and cab meet. I know that means cutting something and adding a rubber seal. The B hoop would then have some kind of X through it, strengthening the center of the cage.

:dunno: I'm putting my rock sliders in soon. After that, it's cage time. Just need to work out what I want before talking to a local builder.

Search for a member called "moneypit" (not the munepit that still posts a lot), he kinda had two cages like you're asking about.

LOL ... cuz the red-Suburban-munepit is the one *needing* the exocage... :haha:

I had this idea awhile back as well. I have a few pics at home I will try and remember to post up.

My idea did involve a roof chop, front and rear taper, and a boatside to integrate it all together though.

I mainly want the exterior bars along my A pillar to protect my windshield frame, but not to be any wider along the body area.

i've seen some where its basically a full interior cage, and than you have runners coming off basically the front uprights of the cage, come out near the windhshield, and build the exo from that.
