Anyone ever have to cut a hub off of a spindle?

Well I just had to this weekend. Long story short, water got in through a bad spindle seal and ate the new wheel bearings to the point where the bearing ate the spindle and the lock nuts shattered into pieces. The only thing was salvagable was the stub shaft....

i've had to do that once but it was only because the lock nuts had come loose from the previous owner and the hub ring was stuck because all the pressure from nuts on the hub. only had to replace the rotor, hub assembly, and wheel bearings and locking nuts.
It sucks tho.
