I was thinking, Has anyone ever seen/heard of someone running 2 tierods(1 standard,1 hi-steer). Would there be less stress on the knuckle or more? I am not thinking of doing it, I had a dream about it for some silly reason.

First off, there would be no benefit from going hi-steer if you attempted to keep the standard tie rod, Secondly, the movement is different based upon standard location or hi-steer so it wouldn't work anyhow.

Gotcha, I knew you would be the about the first to respond. I was not wanting to do this!!! Just wondering. You Da Man Scott!

The geometry would have to be figured out carefully. Because of the Ackerman angle, the two tierods would have to attach at exactly the same distance from the pivot center of the ball joints, which would not be exactly the same length steering arm top and middle. The biggest advantage to this setup is that you could fit additional steering stabilizers on your show truck.

Just mount the upper in double shear and spread the load out.
