. . . . in Silverado trim with an SM465 from the factory?

I want pics.

Not me.

My bet is the Silverado pkg includes the auto trans option.

Looking through Dremu's brochures, it looks as if it wasn't available with the diesel.

Use to know a guy who had a suppossedly "special order" k5 with the silverado package and a 465. He bought it off a guy who worked for gm somewhere, cant remember where he said the guy worked at like in the plant or r and d or whatever. Anyways the guy special ordered it that way brand new. Ill try to look him up and see if he cant get anything to prove it.

It was the standard transmission with the LO5 for all of 1987-1991. Just most people paid for the optional TH700R4.

Unfortunately.

The 6.2 diesel was never available with a manual transmission in a Blazer sadly. All civilian 6.2 Blazers had TH700R4/4L60’s. All D10 M1009 6.2 Blazers had TH400’s.

Not the same years you're asking about but my 81 Jimmy left the factory with a 305/SM465 and was the high trim for GMC with power everything, full carpeting, AC. Even at the time I figured it had to have been special ordered like that.

Can’t remember what the Silverado trim is supposed to be... my 1988 is factory tbi lo5 with the 465 trans. Rubber floor mats and zero panels/ extra interior fluff

SM465 was a no cost option in 1984. Figure it would of have been the standard trans in 88-91, no matter the trim level, since the other options (833 etc) were gone.

Larry's Polar Bear Burb was a factory Silverado level 4-speed truck. It isn't a K5, but proof the 4-speed wasn't exclusive to the Scottsdale trim level.

I know it was available, I was just wondering if anyone had ever actually seen one. I have since seen one or two on Facebook.
