My dad's dodge neon (1995, auto) has a leaking rear main seal.. bad!

Anyone ever replace one of these? Whats the procedure?

I took a look at it today, I was trying to figure out if I can just remove the tranny without removing the whole engine tranny combo.

1. remove CV's
2. remove tranny bolts,
3. slide off tranny. ???

help.

Yeah, just drop the tranny off of the motor.
You might want to remove the A arms too, get all of that crap out of the way.

i have a cam if u need one never been used bought it and sold the car and got a 2001 blazer. I did the top end but not the bottom end.

When you did it, did you take off the A-arm as well? (This might end up needing an alignment then, no?)

it wont need an alignment as long as you dont f with the tie rod ends, me and my buddy pulled his tranny in his neon, and didnt even remove the subframe,
