Going to BB? I want to go but don't know about towing solo for 3 days. I'd like to find someone thats hauling with a semi and an open spot.

Typically the farthest east anyone is coming from is the midwest, Iowa Missouri type East.

Catch a plane and ride with someone, much cheaper up front.

I know somebody that will have an open seat.

Lol, thanks, not sure we may get an extra year here, but I should go this year to make sure I get the chance!

Yeah, but I've been doing this crap for 10 years and have always wanted to go to BB If I come out there I want to wheel my junk.

Mike I didn't think you loved me anymore, that's sweet. Will you let me move rocks for you also?

So its 4000k miles round trip (4 days driving) ~1K in fuel

or

$500 to $700 for a plane ticket, then rental car or arrange to have someone pick me up. So same money to watch.

I just need to find a co-pilot.

Your buddy Jay loves cross country trips.

What are you towing with?

At 10 MPG with my Duramax and 4.00 per gallon I get $1,600 for fuel? Thats more than 4 days worth of driving. Having done some serious towing trips I would count on 850 or so miles per day coming out.

I can get better than 10 mpg with slowing down a bit but that is probably counter acted by the fact that I used 4.00/G for diesel. It's really 4.30 or so here right now.

Then less for the first day heading back as you'll be tired and worn out.

Check Flights into, Salt Lake City, Grand Junction Colo, Eagle Colo, and even Denver. There's people coming from all of those directions.

I'm glad I have a 5.9 Dodge. I get no less than 17-18mpg loaded :woot:

I figure 15 hours a day. I average 15mpg when I tow up and down the east coast mountains. 02 PSD 7.3 with a few mods. I've done a few tows myself. The last long haul was 24 hours straight to Remington IN and back non stop. Diesel was $4.50 a gal Towing a 30 camper. If I can find someone to ride with me I'll prob drive. If not I guess I could fly out and be Mikes 3itch.

Yep, first year going. New K5 too..still putting it all together. Tellico was fun. The wife won't be 6 months pregnant this time..haha

Ive been wanting to go to blazer bash since I joined this site and Im from the east kinda (western Arkansas). If I play my cards right I may get to go this year but Ill be driving my wheelin rig:D

Should be a fun (long) trip if everything works out.

I'm just east of Colorado Springs. I have 5 wide open acres if you need to stop and crash. I plan to head to Moab Thursday morning. It's about a 7 hour trip from my place. It would only add about 40 miles to your trip but save some travel headaches by not driving all the way through Denver :waytogo:
