Anyone got pictures of 2.5\" of lift w/ 33s?

I have been searching on this much debated topic, but have yet to find any good pictures of a second gen with this setup. Most of them are 4", which tells me something I guess...Anyways, I wondered if anyone could direct me to a truck that fits the bill.

Mine has a 2 1/2" lift sitting on 33's. This isn't the best pic, but it works.

I like the small amount of lift. I've since hacked the front fenders out planning for 35's with no more lift.

Thanks! Those are some great looking trucks. I think the 4" is excessive for 33s. I don't think I will go to 35s since this is a daily driver, but it is nice to know that I could go that route with a little fender trimming.

You guys have any rub problems while offroading? Or more appropriately, are you happy with the amount of flex you have on a 2.5" lift?

Thanks, I appreciate the compliment.

I don't want you thinking that a little bit of fender trimming will get a good sized 35" tire under there ..... it's more like a LOT of fender trimming --- just wanted to clarify that.

I love the way my truck flexes. I run an ORD shackle flip in the rear with stock '90 K5 springs, and 2" EZ ride lift springs in the front with ORD's extended shackles plus ORD's sway bar disconnects. It is very flexy for only a 2 1/2" lift.

When I first lifted it and put the 33's on, they did rub a bit when rock crawling. This is probably due to the amount of flexing I was doing. I trimmed the fenders a small amount to take care of the rubbing.

I went back later and trimmed a whole lot more preparing for 35's (whenever these 33's wear out).

I got 2.5 lift with 35's, they don't rub but I had to cut a good chunk out of my front fenders. Check my signature below for pics.

If you plan on flexing at all dont go 2½ unless you want to trim honestly if it was me I would go 4in for 33's its not really THAT BIG. But then agin it is deffently bigger then stock, What do you plan on using your truck to and do you mind not being able to step right into your truck? Even with 2.5 and 33's you gonna have to jump a little /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
33's will clear with no lift but they rub even worse (but agin you can use the sawzall)

Damn dude! That is a good looking truck. Exactly what mine looked like before the rust monster got it and I started spray bombing it.

Here is a pic of mine when I bought back in August of last year>

It had 2.5 Superlift springs front and rear with 33" Baja radail claws.

Now it has 7" lift on 12.5R20 XLs on 20x9 beadlocks.

MUDHOG yea im sure you can but it either rubs nasty or you really like the sawzall

Re: Anyone got pictures of 2.5\" of lift w/ 33s?

IF your body is rusted to sh*t anyways, then get out the sawzall. If I had a nice body on my rig, I don't think I'd be able to cut it. /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif

[/ QUOTE ] actually it only just barley rubs the back of the fenderwell when fully flexed the key to mine not rubbing is all of you have deep dish rims with like a negative 3-4 offset i have stock rims with no offset so my tires stay inside the fenders /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Re: Anyone got pictures of 2.5\" of lift w/ 33s?

Mudhog, how is you ride? Are the 2.5" springs pretty flexy? There are two reasons I am skeptical about the 4" lifts, 1) my buddy had a rough country 4" and it was stiff 2) I live in NYC where it is tough to park sometimes, and a big lift will not help that. I need to stay under 7' to fit into most garages!

Your truck looks great and has given me some ideas! Thanks!
