That's what I was trying to figure out

going to loose it here tried to make progress now stepping backwards again!!!! Can I catch a damn break or what on this truck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

time to order new inside latch handle from LMC and guess the left hand thread bolt yeah spending $ on stupid shit!

Do you still need pictures? My hardtop is unbolted and connected to the overhead hoist.

From our conversation I'm not sure we have the same seals, but here's how mine fit. Basically you want the hollow tube portion of each seal between the fiberglass and sheet metal. Sorry that my phone camera is so bad.

So on the bedside seal (that glues to the bottom of the hardtop long sides) has the tubular portion hanging over the outside of the topper. The flat portion is just for gluing. Same thing on the hardtop seal that goes over the cab. The tube part is hanging over the edge so that it sits in front of the fiberglass.

I would like to thank Blue85 ( forgot your name - SORRY) for the help last night!!! He explained how the seals set on over the phone and then posted the pictures of his seals in this post. I feel as he went out of the way and helped me get the cab seal on last night and I am doing topper seal right now in stages since long run of weatherstrip.
Valley I kept talking about, YES it has to be cleaned out for sealer and the little rid on the seal to sit in it. Maybe Blue can explain better on this then me.

I will post pictures up today for everyone of how the seals look when there done and Hard Top should go on around 4 or so some friends stopping in to help.

For those of you that wonder about this job give yourself some time, prep clean and more cleaning, step back if needed, have CK5 on hand and a friend so one can lay weatherstrip adhesive in and other can put seal on. These are just What I recommend for this job.

So would like to say THANK YOU for saving my butt and sorry if you had trouble understanding my Southern Accent!!!!!

Post up as many pics as you can. I've got seals in my living room awaiting install. Been too hot here lately, so gathering intel instead.

Edit: This is my 1k post! Do I get a special prize for that?:lombardi:

Put them on photobucket or the like and link them, then.

That is a nice K5 you have. Having gone down the road of lifting and big tires then back, I am a big fan of what you have right there. Those 1 ton axles look sturdy.

I don't know anything about the half tops - I pulled my full top for a while and put it back on without too much hassle (OEM '74 seals still going strong). The half tops looks a bit more complicated.

I jumped on this thread to see if I could give a different suggestion.

Instead of focusing and rushing to get the top on (rain storm? just temp tarp it?) my thought was to figure out the wife instead. Why was she pissed the top was off? Sounds like nothing a nice dinner and bottle of wine couldn't soften up. My wife grew up with her dad and he collects dead cars like some people collect beer bottles. As long as our K5 is rolling, she is happy.
