Willing to do a huge favor and measure the bolt pattern for the brake backing plate?

If you happen to have the wheel off, from the outside face of the backing plate to the back face of the axle flange?

Trying to figure out exactly what is up with the later disk brake setups, and if they are "backwards compatible" with some of the earlier housings.

So far I've seem it referenced that the brake backing plate pattern never changed, but even if it didn't, the axle flange to backing plate spacing would require some adapting.

Thanks!

2008 iirc chevy express 2500. That work? Work van so i wont be able to take the tire off

My 99 is a 2500, with the 14bsf....I'll try to get a measurement tomorrow, with a couple ref pics as well.

Anything helps.

Mine is supposedly a '97 (I somewhat doubt it, but oh well) and I will be able to at least start looking at the bolt pattern differences to see what may be made to work.

Kind of disappointed that as-is, no matter what that system isn't going to work stock with 15" wheels, but this info will help others out who aren't fixated on 15" wheels lol, and may lead to some good data eventually.

Dorian, I applogize for not getting you some info today....I had my hands full doing a front brake job, and had intentions of rotating tires to get you some pics, but didn't have enough time before coming to work today....I'll keep tabs on the thread and if you don't get the info you need I'll try to get my truck apart to take pics and measurements for ya...

by the description the disc needs to be off as well to get the measurement your looking for right?

Sorry, was working this weekend.

Yes, would need the disk off to get at it, since the flange is quite aways inside it.

That link for the 10 bolt disks on the 14SF was great! Guy even making weld-on/clockable spacers!
