i've been really looking at the gorilla 12000lb winches on ebay for about 400. they come with a wireless and wired remote. does anyone have one? i know it's not a warn but don't have the funds for that. just need something that will pull my truck out of the mud. don't care about speed either. i plan on buying a multimount for it also to use on my car trailer as well. i need honest opinions. thanks.

Well as far as the "any other winch but warn" category I can tell you I bought a 12000e Milemarker last year. I love the thing and it pulls my short box out no problem. You dont have to buy a warn to get good performance although you generally will get a slower winch with other brands.

Check around perhaps the "gorilla" is a rebrand of a more popular brand. You may be better off waiting and browsing craigslist for something use thats not THAT generic though.

I got mine for $400.

thanks for the reply. i wouldn't mind a milemarker either. i just like the wireless option and they seem to look really waterproof. i know i'll rarely use it but it would be nice to have. i look at craigslist everyday but no luck.

Ehhh once you get your hands on a wired controller the amount of line they give you makes wireless almost unnecessary. Plus you can always waterproof a solenoid box yourself. I used a caulking tube of rtv :D
