I hear its a multiple choice...about all kinds of crap...I took a pre-test and made a 65% but i think i need to make a 75% to pass.

i bought the radio but never apsted the test after 5 tries so i gave up and threw the radio in the closet in fact i think i just sold it

It's good to read the book to UNDERSTAND the material, but there's also a computer program that randomly pulls up all the exact questions they'll ask you on the test...(there's only about 5 versions). I ran that thing for a solid day and then went to take my test. I did Technician No-code.

Alright guys, I've got mine Tech (no code) which is one step under a tech liscence) tech no code is all most people really need unless you just want to yap on all the freq. With the no code you can use 2 meter and 440 which is more the you'll ever use most likely. As far as studing go to radio shack and they sell a book so study by for the test. Mine was orange and black but that was back in 94 so it may have changed since then.

Yeah I forgot about this thread...I did some searching and found that disk with the questions. It's from '96, may be a little dated but if anyone's interested, I can copy it and send it to ya.
