I just finished doing a job on a car and need to know what a fair price for labor is.

Car = 1989 Ford Taurus SHO (bitch of a motor to work on)

Work included:
Valve cover gaskets, requires the removal of the intake plenum.
T/S and repair of the multi function relay. It died and killed the AC clutch....or the other way around??
Replaced the ignition switch. failed contacts.
Replaced the AC compressor, liquid line with orifice tube, and the drier. Flushed and recharged the system.
Replaced the battery, and belts.

Inspected the rest of the car to be sure I did everything required.

Thanks for the help.

BTW if anyone wants a car it is for sale I guess. He said he would just give it to me to cover the work I did........no thanks, not a Ford guy.:haha:

Mitchel 1998 ed. labor book

3.4 hrs v.c. gskts + .1 cruise control interfer.

2.3 hrs, a/c comp r+r
1.9 hrs, drier r+r
.6 orfice tube

.6 ign switch r+r

belts would kinda be included with a/c r+r, I think.
T/S what ever it took you.

anything else?

If he wants to give you the car to cover costs why did he even bother repairing it?
