I have got my D60 tore down to clean the gravy out of the differential from a leaky seal and a little water /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif. I am broke and need more traction out of the front axle. I know the stories of the steering problems, but could not be any worse than the Detroit in my D44 before I upgraded. I just need an article on waht to tear down in the carrier and where to weld.

Thanks,

It CAN and WILL be worse than the Detroit you had, I assure you. I have a locker, and a few of my buddies have theirs welded, and they can't steer for squat.

Either way, there is no disassembly required like with a 14 bolt. Just burn the gears together and you're done. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
