Anyone have pics of a k5 with a stock Roll Bar

What year? Front or back?

I can show you the stock rear roll bar, which was an option in later years, and the stock front one for 74-75 (fits '73 too, but wasn't available until late '73 or early '74 model years.)

Oh, and are you looking to ID a roll bar, see how it fits, or just what they look like? (I have a lot of pix /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif )

I just snaked a rear one out of a 78 a couple of weeks ago from the boneyard. Its sitting in my Garage right now waiting for me to get some grade 8 bolts for the install.

I'll run upstairs with the camera and post a pic today.

Like I said before, I just got it but have not installed. Basically, the main hoop stands straight up (even with the rear body) and the diagonal bars angle forward to the back side of the rear wheel wells. Here are a couple of pics of the bar itself:

Hope it helps!

actually I wanted to see it in a truck hehe but yeh it still helps a bit.

That's the factory rear rollbar in a '79, fwiw. The other pic of the bar out of the truck looks remarkably like mine, except I don't have to root it out from behind the shed, thank you ZooMad75! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

No problem. I had it in the garage. One thing you should know that I found when I yanked mine out of a Blazer in the boneyard is that there are some iron plate on the backside of the wheel well mount. It was about 1/4" thick, but the same shape as the footpad of the roll bar. The donar truck I was pulling it from had the plate tack welded at 4 points. Try as I might to bust the welds with my BFH and a prybar, they would not budge. I'll just pick up some plate and make my own. Also, the nuts for the attachment bolts were welded to the plate.

The rear mounts actually had two separate plates per mount with the nuts welded to them too. Those were not welded to the floor though and came right off. Be sure to grab them if you find one in the 'yard.

Will that bar fit in say a 90 k5. I have the smitty built rear bar, but it doesn't protect anyone in the rear seat. This would be idea if it did fit because I do not have a tube bender
thanks

Jah, should fit the newer ones. The rear area didn't change from 73-91, AFAIK. The area between the front and rear seats did, from '77 to '78, at least, plus maybe later too? donno. I don't know much about them newfangled trucks /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
